Research Stream: Managing innovation in the networked organization
Mr S. James Ellis completed his Master’s degree in Globalization & Development Studies at Maastricht University, where his research investigated the use of commercial drones among South African farmers and focused on the importance of good technological governance. Prior to that, he worked for six years as a broadcast journalist in the United States Air Force, through which he gained dynamic experience in leadership, management, strategic planning, and journalistic research. Furthermore, his rise through military ranks and recognition for his work afforded him the opportunity to attend formal leadership, management, and entrepreneurship courses and to apply the concepts learned therein to a wide range of settings. Currently, he is pursuing an academic career in order to leverage his experience and lessons learned from around the world into current, ongoing management research in hopes of applying unique arguments to the process of research, publication, and theory-building.
